Trunk Rotation and Lower Back Stretch

  1. Sit on the floor, both legs extended in front. Bend one leg and place across the other, foot resting on floor.
  2. Place the opposite elbow on the outside of the crossed leg (thigh).
  3. Twist torso toward bent leg until a moderate stretch is felt. Hold for about 10 seconds.

  1. Apply pressure to bent leg with opposite arm pushing in and bent leg resisting pushing out..
  2. Hold for a slow count of 10.

  1. Relax and push the bent leg farther across the extended leg.
  2. At the same time, try to rotate the truck toward bent leg..
  3. Repeat application of pressure and release two or three times.
  4. Repeat for the other side.
