- Stand facing a wall or other means of support.
- Place one hand on wall, bend the knee straight back.
- Grasp foot with the opposite hand and pull towards buttocks until a moderate stretch in felt.
If unable to grasp foot with opposite hand, place the bent leg in a knee level chair.

- Apply pressure by trying to straighten knee using hand or chair to prevent any movement for a slow count of 10.
- Relax and pull heel closer to buttocks, or grasp (attempt to grasp) foot of bent leg, pulling heel closer to
buttocks.
- Repeat two or three times.
- Repeat for the other leg.
