- Sit with one leg extended and the other with knee flexed.
- Keeping you back straight, lean over the extended leg and reach for the toes.
- Stop when a moderate stretch is felt and hold for about 10 seconds.

- Place towel around extended foot, grasp towel with both hands.
- Lean backwards, applying pressure by trying to straighten the back into an upright position.
- Apply pressure for a slow count of 10.
- Relax and reach further toward toes in a more stretched position..
- Repeat application of pressure and relaxation tow or three times.
- Repeat for the other leg.
