Components
Selected interns will be well grounded in all activities of the Kennedy Space Center RehabWorks program by
certified/licensed athletic trainers. Each internship will last the length of one semester (about 14-16 weeks.)
Instructional components will include the following:
- Daily patient care consisting of work related, non-work related, acute, chronic and post operative injuries,
- Weekly RehabRounds with our overseeing physician,
- Staff meetings, ergonomic meetings, worker's compensation meetings,
- Outreach projects such as posters, bulletin boards, etc,
- Weekly intern review sessions consisting of article reviews, hands on practice, practical simulations of patient
care,
- Research and presentation of a corporate/industrial related topic.
Requirements
- Undergrad student enrolled in a athletic training program in a university or college,
- Student must be Junior or Senior,
- No GPA requirement, however; GPA and grades are reviewed for internship consideration,
- Must provide their own transportation,
- Two interns will be selected each semester,
- This internship is a non-compensated internship.
All internship position will be selected within 1 week of application deadline. All materials must be in before deadline
for internship consideration.

NOTE: This internship is a non-paid internship. Transportation and housing must be provided by the student. A housing list may be available to assist in locating appropriate housing once selected for the internship.
