What is an ATC?
The Certified Athletic Trainer (ATC) is a highly educated and skilled professional specializing in athletic health care. In cooperation with physicians and other allied health personnel, the certified athletic trainer functions as an integral member of the athletic health care team in secondary schools, colleges and universities, sports medicine clinics, professional sports programs and in the corporate/industrial settings. At the Kennedy Space Center a Certified Athletic Trainer can provide injury assessment and rehabilitation services to the industrial athlete in order to maximize long-term recovery and reduce lost work time.

For more information on Athletic Training check out the National Athletic Trainers Association's web site.
